HYPNOTIC BRASS ENSEMBLE - Mas i Mas Festival

These seven brothers, sons of the great jazz musician Phil Cohran, are continuing his musical legacy. Hypnotic Brass Ensemble are from the south side of Chicago, Illinois. They have toured Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and South America, playing with musicians of the calibre of Prince, Mos Def, Mick Jones (The Clash) and Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz). They have given concerts at venues and festivals Coachella, WOMAD AU, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall. Their musical style ranges from hip-hop and jazz to funk and rock, not forgetting calypso and gipsy music. They define their sound as an eclectic mixture known as “Now Music” or “Hypnotic”.
