Susana Sheiman is undoubtedly one of the great voices of jazz, soul and Afro-American music in general. Sheiman began her career in Madrid, singing with some well-known soul and funk bands, and continued in Barcelona, where she became a classy jazz singer alongside the likes of Ignasi Terraza and the Barcelona Jazz Orquestra. She has enjoyed a brilliant solo career with all kinds of line-ups, including big bands, and now with formats like Do-Up! In a duo with another of our jazz greats, the pianist Xavi Algans, Susana Sheiman performs a diverse repertoire including everything from soul to bossa nova.
